WHO WE ARE
About the workshops
The monthly workshops are designed and facilitated by me. I am a licensed
therapist in the state of California. I am a certified Imago therapist and have
completed level 2 of the Gottman training and had the honor of training with the
late Dan Wile and learned about his couples therapy approach. I also completed a
training on Couples and addiction and worked from January 2014 through
November 2021 at Kaiser’s Addiction Medicine Department, thus I am
knowledgeable about addiction and its impact on couples, individuals and family
systems. In my doctoral program, I have dedicated my research to understanding
situational vs characterological violence in couples and I am trained in
differentiating couples who benefit from therapy and couples who are not a good
fit for couples therapy.

About me
I was married for 9 years and that marriage ended in divorce. After my divorce, I
was left feeling like a failure and full of shame and regret, I thought I could never
love, trust, or open my heart again. My ex-husband and I also shared a wonderful
son and we needed to learn to co-parent for that little boy. Trying to understand
myself better, I did what I do best, I went to therapy and talked about my marriage
to understand how my marriage ended in divorce. After two years of weekly
therapy, I thought I was ready for love again. I’ve been married since 2018. My son
told me he could never go through another divorce and made me promise I would
never get divorce again. My husband and I participated in an online Imago couples
workshop when we encounter a bump on the road in 2020.
